At Burtnik Printing we are very proud of our recycling programs that have been in place for over 20 years. Our weekly garbage collected is most often less than 1 bag (less than most households). We have Niagara Recycling pick up all of our off-cuts on a weekly basis. Our metal plates used in production will become recycled aluminum. Most of the paper today has some percentage of recycled fiber, but we have been using a white bond product that’s 100% recycled paper whenever we can which in turn reduces the amount of virgin paper product required to assist business with their print requirements.

Before beginning your design there are some things to consider. In the world of print there are a few ways to achieve the proper colour you intended for your design. Printing in four colour process - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black, or CMYK for short - is the most common form of print. Another way to print is using specific Pantone spot colours. A Pantone spot colour is a custom mix of inks to create your exact colour. These specific Pantone colours can be used for one or two colour runs or adding a specific colour at the end of a run as a 5th colour.
